Samar Khan is the first women in the world to ride cycle on 4,500 meters Biafo Glacier in the Karakoram Mountains of Gilgit Baltistan (Aug 2016).
Samar Khan belongs to Khas Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She holds a Master's degree in Physics. She discovered her love for sports in Army School of Physical Training, Kakul, from where she learned Para-gliding. Later on, excelled in other fields as well like trekking, mountain biking & martial arts. Cycling was chosen to be the best way of exploring world & to discover the unseen beauties of nature.
She Reached Pak-China border, ''Khunjerab'' on cycle & rode over 4693meters height in -5degrees to set a national record of it's own kind in Sep 2015. For cycling on highest altitude in Pakistan, she scaled a peak across Arandu, Skardu and attempted cycling over there in May, 2017. In Dec 2017, she became the 1st Pakistani to have cycled on the 'Roof of Africa' Kilimanjaro, 'Uhuru Peak' in Tanzania. And her expedition was sponsored by Pakistan Army (ISPR).
With the passion of cycling, she raises her voice to create awareness in her community. Ans she intends to keep striving for the pride of her country & for the honor of her people.
